Happy Friday!
Book character dress-up day is Wednesday, Oct 31st. Students may bring $5 towards hurricane relief and dress up as a book character. Please make sure that your put your child’s name, student #, my name, and “Book Character” on the envelope. You can turn in money any day and on the 31st. We go to the library on Monday so please remind your child to pack their books if they want to return them or renew them. I will be running a half marathon in California this weekend and out Monday and Tuesday. I have left detailed plans and some relaxing Fall activities, as well, since I know the children will begin getting revved up for Halloween. Please remind your child to be on their best behavior for the sub. On Tuesday, we will be having a visit from the DEA. This was a great experience last year and we are looking forward to it again this year! We have enough paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls! Thank you for sending those in. I hope that everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Conferences begin tomorrow. Please take a minute to note your day and time. Each conference is 20 minutes. This time always goes by quickly so if you have things to discuss that we don’t get to, please email me. Please don’t be offended if I end our time because I want to give each family their designated conference time. I look forward to meeting with all of you.
Conference week is also an early release schedule. School dismisses at 12:20 so please plan transportation accordingly and send in a note if there is a change for the day. Clubs will not run this week. Our “lunch” time this week is at 9:38. Please join us on October 23rd at 5:30 for second grade math night.
