We are beginning our unit on Money. I have some coins in my classroom for students to share as we work through our lessons. However, your child may like to bring in a Ziploc bag of 1 penny, nickel, dime, and quarter to reference and keep in their toolbox throughout the week. Reminders: ~I need two volunteers for our in school field trip on October 10th. This will help to reduce the spread of germs. I am changing up Dojo points a little bit. During morning meeting today, the students helped me come up with rewards that they can purchase with their Dojo points. As of Monday, I am resetting the points and everyone will begin at 0. The students were excited about the opportunity to use their points for rewards in class. Although you can’t see your child’s point total, they usually know their total points and can see it when it is displayed on the board. The new school year is here, and football season is right around the corner! This season, the Atlanta Falcons are excited to continue the Together We Rise: Falcons Friday School Program! We’re inviting Cobb County to join us in wearing your Falcons colors and showing your Falcon’s Pride every Friday before a home game. Every Friday this season is Falcons Friday but specifically, Cobb County Falcons Fridays are Friday, October 5 and Friday, November 16. |
