*Feb. 14th- students are welcome to give out Valentines, but need to make sure they have one for each person in our class. I gave out our class list last week.
Students should also bring in their valentine holders tomorrow. I handed out paper bags and decorating supplies for anyone that was not already making a bag at home.
Please make sure you are checking your child’s agenda each night. Progress reports come home tomorrow with graded papers. Please check take home folders sign and return.
Read Across America is coming up!! We will be having a Read Across America essay contest again this year. Essays will be due Friday, February 17th. The essay topic is "My Favorite Dr Seuss Book". Students should write a one-page essay telling us what their favorite Dr Seuss book is and why. Winners will be announced on March 2nd.
Also, our Read Across America event will be Thursday, March 2nd. Students will be allowed to dress as a Dr Seuss character and volunteer readers (including firefighters and police officers) will come to the school and read to the students that morning. More details will be provided on the times they will be visiting classrooms.
